My slow Carb Dieting

Postby Yig » October 25th, 2012, 7:01 am

I just started the diet, technically yesterday since the chicken I cooked for dinner the day before had satay sauce(which contains sugar).

If I could kick the habit of drinking Softdrinks I can probably do this.

So this is what I eat:

Before first meal:

Spoon of fish oil(Icelandic thing called: Lýsi) rich in vitamins and such.

First Meal:

2 whole eggs
5 slices of bacon

Second Meal:

Some sliced beef
Spinach
Yellow and green beans and red peppers(frozen mix)
Wok mix(peppers, broccoli and some other stuff frozen as well)

Dinner:

1 & 1/2 Chicken breast
Spinach
Yellow and green beans and red peppers(frozen mix)
Wok mix(peppers, broccoli and some other stuff frozen as well)

Before bed:
Tablespoon of tahini if I´m hungry before bed.

Before every meal I take Now:Magnecsium and Calcium with Zinc and vitamin D-3 blend.

I cook all my meals on a frying pan(eggs and bacon) and a Wok pan(other two) eat all of them at home(at present).

I add water solvable C vitamin tablets to the water

Sports I do at present:

Judo three times a Week
Viking sword-fighting once a week(will be twice a week during the summer).

Other workouts:

Set to failure of pushups every four days.

Walking to and from Judo practice(barely counts)

[30.1.2013 Update]

Changed the name of the Thread as it is now more of a diary type thing.

Corrected the meals that I eat each day and what supplements I take.

Solid plan.

Couple tweaks you could make. Switch almond or sesame butter for the peanut butter. Peanuts are pretty bad.

Use coconut oil when you fry stuff. Less oxidation higher smoke point, not as expensive as mac nut oil and easier to find.

Vitamin C is good stuff.

You can try the 'shan-ri la' hack for snacking it worked well for me. I find coconut oil the best for that. http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/wp ... ieting.pdf

I will note that down, currently I fry things in rapeseed oil, I´ve noted down coconutoil and almond butter. Don´t know if I can get those around these parts, but I will give it a look see.

I´m going to the store tomorrow to restock, I´ll go and buy a flexable tapemesure to mesure the areas mentioned in the book.

Since I don´t have a scale I will weigh myself and note it down right before Judo practice tomorrow and upload the results here.

[Update]

I went to the store and they had coconut Oil(a white pasty substance) and white Tahini(which I think is almond butter).

Also I´m having friends over for a roleplaying game session so I bought almonds if the uncontrollable urge to snack hits me like a ton of bricks.

[Update x2]

weighed myself before practice: 122kg(268 lbs)

Good progress, Yig!

Tahini paste is sesame seeds. Does it taste like a nut butter? Almond butter will literally say "almond butter" and it looks like peanut butter. It's delicious!

When I saw you practice viking sword fighting, I got super jealous. That sounds like a blast!

Keep it up!

Let´s put Tim´s disclamer here first.

I am not a medical practitioner nor do I know anything of your medical condition.

That said, I have no medical conditions I know of other than being lazy(and that being a state of mind).

I have no idea if this diet is good or bad for you personally.

I did this diet without consulting my doctor: Her answer to belly fat(one year ago) was to do situps...

If you want you can use me as your test subject, I was a healthy 122kg male around 1.80m before I started this diet.

Note: This is from my perspective: I live on a rock in the middle of the Atlantic ocean that is not devising or revolutionizing anything I´m just going by 4HB.

I will not lie on this forum about anything and I will note down the results on weight loss on my weigh in day(Friday) each week. If I run into a medical problem(stroke or some-such), I will put it in this progress log.

Also I use the metric system because that is more relevant to me personally.

[Edit]

Also I drink 3+ liters of water Each day very important.

The tahini is very rough, can´t accurately describe how it tastes but one tablespoon is enough to quell hunger for a time. I use it if I´m hungry just before bed.

I also have almonds in the house but have managed to moderate how I eat them(a single 250g bag is still unfinished after 2 weeks)
